Has anyone here heard of the brand “Sukin”? I’ve been using it for quite a while now (I think possibly a year?) and it’s actually the only brand I use currently to wash and moisturise my face. Since I’ve been using it I’ve noticed a dramatic difference in my skin’s texture and colour. I generally have quite oily acne prone skin and I feel it’s been very difficult to find products that are suited to my skin type. I’ve tried many products but none of them have worked as well as Sukin. Please keep in mind that what works for me may not work as well for you. This is my experience with Sukin that I am sharing to you so I hope it may help in some way!
So if you may or may not know, Im currently studying a Master in Nursing. It’s a two year course and I’m currently in my second and final year. I think reflection is a big part of nursing .. reflecting on practice and reflecting on yourself.. so I’m going to take the time (maybe this will be an ongoing process.. who knows?) to blog about how I decided to change and study nursing, why I enjoy it so much and hopefully how I’m going in the clinical setting! Fingers crossed will be me next year.
warning: I wrote a lot!
I ordered these brushes a couple of weeks ago and they’re finally here! I don’t own many makeup brushes. I think it also encourages me to use makeup more because I feel more encouraged to use them! I bought my first set of brushes a year ago. Thats right, you heard me. A YEAR AGO. Previously I was using my fingers to apply my makeup because I felt it was just easier to do. I think i’ve realised since then that brushes do help with application because it means I can spread out product more evenly and I’m not transferring bacteria from my fingers to my face. I think applying makeup to my face with my fingers previously also encouraged pimples and since I’ve used brushes, my skin problems have decreased dramatically!
So today my bestfriend nicolle came over to visit. We weren’t really sure on what we wanted to do. It was a pretty hot day (summer feels like it’s still here even though it’s officially ended!) so we were deciding on whether we should go to the beach but we decided against it as it would have been a long drive to get there. Instead we decided to make cookies!! I personally love making cookies but I don’t really make them that often. My favourite to make is definitely butter cookies because theyre just SO easy to make and need very little ingredients. I thought i’d try it with a little twist this time! I’ve been seeing these kind of marble style cookies floating around instagram so I thought i’d give them a go! With the help of some cookie cutters, some honey and food colouring we came up with these!
Thought I’d blog about the tour I went on during my time in China in January! Can’t believe its only been two months since I’ve been overseas but it actually feels alot longer! My mother LOVES day trips and travelling and exploring new places.. so whenever we go back to China to see relatives my mum always squeezes in a couple of days to go on a tour. I remember the previous tour I went to with my mum was back in 2012 where we went on a tour through Beijing. Apparently I went there when I was a small baby but obviously hadn’t remembered anything of it so it was great to go and explore the capital! This time round my mum decided to go to a place called Guilin.
